This house was built on a steeply sloping site well back from the road. The views to the west toward the lake and the setting sun were well above the houses on the opposite. It was in a planned community so privacy was assured.

The first thing I did when I saw the site was to draw a 24ft X 24ft square (the size of a two-car garage) and then design a house that fit nicely above it. An access driveway was obviously a primary consideration. So that was the starting point.

There’s another deck off the Master Bedroom and one on the north side between the screened porch and the upper entry.
