My clients bought a lot in a Fire Island beach community. Their property was several houses back from the dunes. The ocean was visible from a second story, but they thought it best to have the main living level on the lower story and enjoy the pool which was a major component of the design. The goal was to achieve an open, airy space that was an escape from New York City.
