HERZOG HOUSE

This house is probably the most “abstract” or “sculptural” of any house I’ve ever design.

The client was a bachelor who kept trying to involve his love in the process. She was skeptical that the building process would go smoothly and kept insisting that it was “his” house. In fact, I acted as construction manager on the project and we had a good team. It became “her” house as well and they actually got married in the house when it was completed.
